How to quickly lose weight and gain muscle for a teen (guy) ?
I don't have any gym equipment at my house like a bowflex. pretty much all I have are a couple of sets of weight and "The Perfect Pushup". I don't really have to worry about my diet cuz I eat really healthy
Eating healthy is key, you say you already do. GREAT!. consume a little more protein (meat) than usual for muscle gain though. Work out helps but gaining muscle and letting it show, and being tone is about your body fat percentage. Eating healthy is the main thing, then work out. Two strengths when combined, result in that figure your looking for. When you work out don't do the same routine work out everyday. alternate between 3 days and do different things each of the three days. like Monday do crunches, Tuesday sit ups, Wednesday go for a run. then Thursday go back to crunches. You can do more than one thing a day certainly but don't do the exact same workout everyday. Your body gets use to it. Mix things up. Eat a healthy breakfast. Eggs, bacon, milk, orange juice. that sort of thing. Just combine eating healthy with work out and you should see results in the first few days.

I love working out, i do it twice a day, 5 days a week. i know what you feel like. when i started out, i was weak and way too skinny. Now I'm fit, buff and my body is tone. Just follow the advice i gave you and you'll be in great shape man.

Abs is 80% diet, 20% actual ab workout. If you want to get ABs you have to lose a good portion of your body fat. Honestly the best thing to do if you just want ABs is do a lot of cardio. If you want to actually gain muscle search around the internet (BodyBuilding.com is a good place for everything weightlifting).

Just be careful with weight lifting. Since you're quite young. To be safe ask your doctor before you start a weight routine.

You need to do rapid, high intensity, weight lifting/cricuit training.

Ideally you'll want to do high enough weight that you're working hard, but heavy enough you can't get a full 10 or 12 rep set. Then move from exercise to exercise with minimal breaks inbetween (30seconds max) keeping your heart rate up.

Good workouts would be something out of P90X, 300 workout, HIIT (high intensity interval training), insanity, or just a circuit you come up with yourself that is focused and fast.

Ideally you'll want to workout about 5 times a week.

Teen guys and Muscle Building supplement?
Im trying to tone up and workout, and i was wondering if Muscle Building supplement would be safe for a 16 year old? and if so what is the best kind? is their any side affects to muscle building supplements? Im looking for something that is like a powder that you can just put in water or sometthing like that. andsomething i can find at my local groccery store.
I am also 16 and i have regularly been working out with heavy weights and using supplements for almost 1 full year. I have read that there is no side effects to taking supplements and i find that there isn't as long as you take the right amount and still eat normally. Protein shakes are the basic way to go for supplements and as far as brands go it depends what style of weight lifting you are doing. If its to build mass and increase weight then you want something both high in calories and in protein. If you want to lose weight and tone you body then you want low calorie and mid level protein.

My one note with supplements is that make shure your comfortable with your height because you will stop growing. i used to grow and average of 2 inches a year and this past year i grew nothing. The only thing different i did was lift heavier weights and take high calorie protein shakes.

I don't think girls should be crazy ripped but that's just my opinion. Any way, to answer your question, you should split body parts for each day. An example would be chest-monday, back-tuesday, legs- wednesday, arms- thursday, and shoulders-friday. Also add a rest day or two in between and cardio and abs at the end of workouts. (abs could be every other day along with cardio, but cardio everyday is the best way to go) Hope that helped. :)

I'm a 14 year old guy who is 6'2 and 190 pounds so i'm already pretty big. I have the abs, biceps and muscle but its covered in a layer of fat, i'm looking for a workout routine and diet plan that will allow me to tone my abs and arms as well as lose fat.
Well, your size isn't really that big for your heighth. It may just feel like it is because you are perhaps bigger than other guys your age.

Anyway, the main thing you most likely need is to tone up. It helps if you try to make better food choices such as more veggies and only eat fatty and sugary foods and sodas in moderation.

Also, you should get cardio at least 3 days a week getting your heart rate up to a good level (not too high though). Cardio needs to be done in conjunction with weight training (which you already sound like you are doing).

Try to do an all over set of weight exercises that cover most of the main muscles choosing different muscle groups for different days. Don't just focus on your abs and biceps.

Also, try to mix it up and do activities that are fun such as roller blading, riding a bike, play football or basketball with your buddies etc so that you don't get bored sitting on a treadmill all the time.

And DO NOT push for extremely fast results. If you overdo the exercise (like my brother and husband tend to do on occasion) you will eventually get burnt out on it and not keep it up. They usually get tired of it after a month or two and then they quit all together. Try to do the things that you feel you can keep doing from now on.

Also, don't be overly critical with youself. My husband is pretty close to your size and has pretty good muscle tone but cannot get the perfectly chiseled abs because of a layer of "fat". He fusses and worries about it a fair amount. I on the other hand think he looks great and don't understand why he worries about it.
